Top 5 Grammys Performances

Alright, I should have written this earlier. Two weeks ago, the music industry honored their own with The Grammy Awards. Of course in Grammy fashion, there were a whole bunch of Grammy performances that helped out the telecast to its biggest ratings since the start of the new millennium. It got me thinking, what were some of the greatest grammy performances ever? Well, everyone has their own opinion and decided to put in my two cents cause I can't shut up and I want the attention. Here we go, the top 5 Grammy performances ever.

#5 - "American Idiot" by Green Day (2005)
This high energy performance definitely excelled Green Day into an iconic status with a performance that spoke to the people in the audience and through the screens. It was voted the #1 Grammy moment of all time.

#4 - "No More Drama" by Mary J. Blige (2002)
Probably one of the best performance I have ever seen, Mary J. Blige definitely pour all of her emotion into this performance and it paid off in the end. Just see the raw energy and emotion that she into the performance and you can see why this is on the list.

#3 - "The Cup of Life" by Ricky Martin (1999)
I know what you are thinking, however it was a great performance. When you look back on the history of music, this performance will be mentioned due to the cultural significance and impact it had. Because of this performance, we now have Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, and Daddy Yankee. It literally opened the door to other latin artists.

#2 - "The Way You Make Me Feel" / "Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson (1988)
The King of Pop rocked Radio City Music Hall with an acoustic performance of his hit "The Way You Make Me Feel", which probably made some people uncomfortable at the time and an emotional performance of "Man In The Mirror", which is arguably one of the most emotional performance he ever gave.

#1 - "Stan" by Eminem featuring Elton John (2001)
There was a lot of controversy with this performance because Eminem was being accused of being homophobic and Elton John being an openly gay artist. However, the true controversy of this was the fact that Elton John was suppose to be a surprise artist during the performance. The track was so amazing that the duo performed again at the Brit Awards.
